A five-week class for actors, directors, designers, writers, makers and humans: find the words for what only you can see.
Your perspective on the work is the one thing no one else can bring. This class nurtures it, sharpens it, and gives you the language to share it: with collaborators, in a pitch, in feedback, and with an audience.
“In my decades in this field, I’ve found that when the spotlight turns on, we often stammer, can’t quite explain what we’re thinking, or end a lot of sentences with ‘does that make sense?’”
We’ll work on existing material and on our own. We’ll revisit familiar analytical tools, try new ones, and build systems of our own for analysis, communication and critique.
Along the way we’ll take on the questions behind dynamic storytelling, and mine our work for both clarity and heart.
You don’t need to be a working artist to take this class, though everything is approached from an artist’s perspective. Much of what we work toward is who we want to be in the world, what we want to say, and the most articulate way to say it.
“Kimberly Senior is a master teacher with an immense insight into human behavior, vulnerability, artistic growth, and self-expression. She creates an intimate, collaborative, and empowering space for creatives to let their guards down, drop into otherwise neglected musings and potent ideas, and claim their personal mission with integrity, clarity, and impact. And she does it in a way that feels so inviting, easy, and joyous. I could not recommend taking her workshop enough. I still have deep ties to the individuals whom I experienced this program with and we all honestly wish we could take it again. Part Two perhaps?”
Plans change: cancel by Monday, January 11 for a full refund. After that, if your spot can be filled from the waitlist, you’re refunded too.
The class is full for now, but you can join the waitlist. There’s nothing to pay. If a spot opens, Kimberly will email you a link to take it, in the order people joined.
Actors, directors, designers, writers, makers, and anyone who wants to say what they mean about their work, or about what matters to them. You don’t need to be working in the arts right now.
Just a few honest sentences on why this class, and why now. There’s no wrong answer.
The class is small and builds week to week, so plan to be at all five. If something comes up, let Kimberly know.
Cancel by Monday, January 11 (two weeks before the first class) and you’re refunded in full. After that, write to Kimberly: if your spot can go to someone on the waitlist, you’re refunded then too.
