Coaching for actors, and consultation for directors, who want to bring more of themselves to the work.
You already have something no one else does: your point of view, your history, the way you see the world. Kimberly helps you put that to work.
A director who has spent her career on both sides of the audition table, Kimberly has cast and staged plays on Broadway and in 19 states, directed for film, television and audio, and trains actors and directors at Yale and Brown/Trinity Rep.
She listens closely, tells you the truth, and helps you find specific, playable choices that come from who you are, not from guessing what the room wants. The goal isn’t one good audition. It’s an actor who trusts their instincts and knows how to use them.
Bring a set of sides due tomorrow, a role you start rehearsing next month, a production you’re about to direct, or a question about where your work is headed.

If you just need someone to help you memorize and run lines, you may be better served elsewhere.
Coaching should be available to everyone who needs it. Choose the rate that fits where you are right now. No explanation needed, and every session is the same session.
You pay when you book, and your session is set once Kimberly confirms it. If she can’t take it, you’re refunded in full. Sessions are usually on Google Meet. For full role preparation, book a first session and you’ll plan the rest together.
If a session meant something to you, you’re welcome to add a thank-you. This is also where to pay for anything you’ve arranged with Kimberly by email.
Theater auditions and callbacks: take the sides apart, find what the scene is really about, and walk in, or press record, with choices you trust and the freedom to take a redirect.
Self-tapes, producer sessions and on-camera auditions. Kimberly reads opposite you, helps you shape the scene for the lens, and gives notes between takes so the tape you send is your best one.
For actors building their audition material and for those applying to training programs. As someone who teaches in MFA programs, Kimberly knows what faculty panels look for.
Time in the room for its own sake: a difficult scene, a classical text or a brand-new script, a part you’ve always wanted to crack, or a fresh set of eyes on work in progress.
You got the part. Now build the whole person. Over a series of sessions before rehearsals or shooting begin, Kimberly works through the entire script with you: the character’s history, relationships and wants, the arc scene by scene, and the specific moments that will carry the role.
Walk into the first day off book in your thinking, not just your lines, and ready to collaborate with your director rather than catch up.
Directing mentorship at any stage, including your very first show: a production you’re about to start, a new play in development, or an application to a college or MFA directing program. Kimberly teaches in Yale’s MFA Directing program and recently ran Brooklyn College’s.
More on directing consultation →“Kimberly helps me feel prepared, creative and in control of my work. She helped me book some of the dopest roles of my career: a meaningful indie film, a Series Regular on a Network show, and even a Lifetime movie. Ain’t nothing she can’t prep you for.”
“There is no one more thoughtful with text—or with an actor in process. Kimberly has made me more human onstage than I knew how to be. She believes you can, so somehow, you just do. Twenty years into working with her, she got me through a one-woman show on my 40th birthday, in my hometown, in my underwear. What more proof do you need? Prepare to be rearranged.”
“Kimberly has a deep understanding of both the industry and the craft, and utilizes both to guide you towards your best audition. One of my most trusted coaches!”
Pick the rate that fits your situation. It’s the honor system: the session is the same at every rate. If even the lowest rate is out of reach, send an email.
Yes, if there’s an open time. For a same-day or next-day session that doesn’t show up in the calendar, email and ask.
Kimberly reads opposite you and coaches between takes. You record on your own setup, in person or over Google Meet.
Reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours ahead for a full refund. Auditions move; if yours does, just let her know.
Mostly online, over Google Meet, so you can work with Kimberly from New York, Los Angeles, Chicago or anywhere else. In person is sometimes possible; just ask.
It depends on the role and your timeline. Most actors book several sessions before rehearsals or shooting start, and some add check-ins during the run or the shoot.
Ask before you book, or arrange a time that isn’t on the calendar.
